ALY INDERMÜHLE (b.1971)

Aly Indermühle is an artist, illustrator, and storyteller whose art practice combines classical and contemporary foundations with digital expertise. She creates stories, drawings, and artworks that resonate with both children and adults.

Aly has explored themes of emotion, memory, and experience through her use of light and color, engaging viewers in unique ways. Her light installations have been featured at VIVID Light from 2016 to 2018 and during the Australian Open.

In 2015, she received the Sculpture by the Sea Award from the National Art School and has completed commissions both nationally and internationally.

Throughout her artistic career, Aly has worked across various disciplines, including 3D animation, sculpture, illustration, and graphic arts. She established and managed the United States Air Force's first fully functional animation studio and has also worked for MTV Productions in Switzerland.

Aly holds a Master of Fine Arts from the National Art School and currently lives and works in Sydney, Australia, where she is passionate about writing and illustrating books for children.
