Visitors of VIVID Light 2017 encountered a mesmerizing world where light and water intertwined in a breathtaking symphony of colours. The enchanting spectacle of Light Waves electrified Sydney Harbor on chilly winter nights, captivating viewers with vibrant hues that brought the harbour to life. Nature and technology converged to create an awe-inspiring experience. Partially submerged lights delicately danced on the waves, reflecting and morphing with each ebb and flow. As the tides changed, a canvas of ever-changing patterns emerged, accompanied by a rhythmic symphony of light. Powered by cutting-edge nanocomputing, the LEDs gracefully transitioned along the spectrum, weaving a spellbinding tapestry of transformations. Each visit promised a fresh and exhilarating experience, as the harbour's dynamic environmental conditions ensured constant variation. Aly and Balthasar Indermühle, the creative duo of Indermuhle Plus, conceptualized this exceptional light art installation, taking inspiration from the fusion of science, nature, and the sheer beauty of light. The backdrop for this awe-inspiring installation was Campbell's Cove, located within Sydney's historic precinct, The Rocks. Aly Indermühle, the project's creative visionary, partnered with Dr. Balthasar Indermühle, a technical expert, to bring their vision to life. Together, they embarked on an unforgettable journey through the realm of Light Waves, where imagination met innovation.
